Located in Sugar Grove, IL- Rosewood Farm is an organic practice farm that provides vegetables and flowers for the local community through Farmer’s Markets and CSAs. Our farm offers a balance of a rustic feeling with easy access not being too remote for guests.

Guests will have viewing access to the working gardens, wildflower prairie, orchards, farm animals, and pond until sunset. For guest safety we will restrict access to the animals and gardens once it is dark out.

We are located right off I-88 with options for hotels, dining, shopping, and overall experience. Major access routes include Rt. 47 and Orchard Road.

 

1. Where are you located? Any special directions I need to know?

We are located at 600 Prairie St in Sugar Grove, IL. You will see our monument sign for Rosewood Farm at our entrance. We are 1 hour away from Chicago with an access ramp to I-88 within 5 minutes.

We do ask that guests to AVOID Rt. 47 especially when leaving. There are no traffic lights which can become dangerous. Large event guests may be directed to leave via Gordon Rd if necessary.

2. What is included in my rental fee? What must I provide?

Depending on the size and type of event, we provide tables and chairs and picnic tables. Large events and weddings will include the tent, cocktail tables, and wooden barrels upon request. Food, beverage, dinnerware and decorations are your responsibility.

3. What kind of parking do you have?

We have four handicap parking spaces Most of our parking lot is located on our reinforced grassy lot. Please plan shoes accordingly. The grass lot is very close to the entrance of the barn and ceremony area so there will not be any long walks involved. We have a total of 32 parking spaces. So carpooling is encouraged. Street parking is not allowed and vehicles will be towed at the owners expense.  

4. I see train tracks near the property, is this an issue?

We are located next to freight train single track. Unfortunately, these trains do not run on a schedule. We do find once the engine passes, most of the noise is minimal. Guests comment that it adds to the ambiance of the rustic farm.

4. Do you have Air Conditioning or Heat?

Our new Event Barn will have Air Conditioning and Heat as well as glass garage doors which can be opened to views of the farm. New Event Space is expected to be finished April 2025.

5. What is needed to book my event?

For Events and Parties, upon return of a signed contract, a $100 security deposit* is due. For Weddings a 25% security deposit is due.

*Security deposits hold your event date and time. They are not considered part of your rental and will not be applied to your rental costs. Security deposits will be returned, as long as there are no damages to the facility and/or grounds, and no violations of the contract were found.  This will be returned to you within 7 days of the event.

 The final balance is due no less than 30 days prior to the event date. Delayed payments are subject to additional fees or cancellation.

6. What am I expected to clean after my event?

We ask that you bag up all trash (we will provide bags). You are responsible for taking out everything that you or your services brought in. We expect that you leave the space as you found it.

7. Is the Farm ADA compliant?

Yes! We have four ADA parking spaces, reinforced ADA compliant grass parking and pathways, and Wheelchair accessible bathrooms.
